We envision a world where families are loved well when they lose a child.
- Beautifully crafted journals, books, cards and gifts to support families and friends, that can often be highly personalized.
- A universal logo that connects all those who’ve lost infants and children, so no one has to bear this burden alone. We can find one another and say, “you too.”
- Love Well Today Foundation to pay it forward with gifts, in honor of your beloved.
A Letter from Our Foundress
Isn’t is true that grief is magnified when we feel alone?
Welcome! I am glad you are here! I have begun this mission, inspired by my very own daughter, France Raphael, who lived 91 radiant minutes! She was our little mountain mover, imparting the truth, that what is of utmost importance in this life is to love and be loved! Our logo was created with the belief that all people have inherent value and Sacred Dignity, from conception until natural death. Since we are made in God’s image, beyond the bounds of what is measurable in earthly terms.
We choose, despite the incredible tragedy of losing a child, to rise each day and serve our Lord, Jesus Christ, and our families. I was inspired by God to choose the sunflower to represent this in our logo. The head of a sunflower always turns to face the sun, much like we turn to the Son in our time of need and mutual support. The many colors of the flower petals represent each unique and unrepeatable child.
When I carried our Frances for 20 weeks knowing she was going to pass away very soon after birth, I discovered I needed all that I have created Sacred Dignity to be. I had a heroic group of family and friends who cared for us in all the ways Sacred Dignity has been founded to do. I want our products, gifts and the Sacred Dignity community, to be there for you, to alleviate your grief and suffering -if but for a moment- so you can discover the beauty of your child’s life and not just mourn the loss.
So, whether you are here because you’ve lost a child or because you want to love well those who have, I say, welcome and we need you. We need each other. I remember daily in prayer, all who’ve lost their children. May the Lord bless you, protect you, and keep you. And may He bring you His abundant peace that surpasses all understanding.
